It’s Your Year of Health – Let’s Act!
Welcome to our very first blog of the year. We hope all of you have had a fantastic Christmas and New Year break with family and friends. We also hope that you haven’t sustained any ‘holiday’ injuries that the summertime can often bring about.
This year, we want our patients and the local community of Western Sydney to have their healthiest year yet! If you’ve been thinking about overhauling your lifestyle for good, make this year, the year you make it happen!
We’re proud advocates for health, wellness and an active lifestyle for our local community. This year, we look forward to bringing you educational videos, exercise tips, take-home techniques and knowledge that you can apply in your everyday life to ensure you CAN live your best, active life.
To kick-start your healthiest year yet, the first step is to address any existing injuries or pains that you currently have.
Don’t put it off any longer – take control over you pain:
ACT ON BACK PAIN
Leave it behind. Get to the cause of your ‘bad back’ that you’ve had for years and make 2018 the year you’re not restricted because of your back pain. Join in, participate and enjoy the activities you truly enjoy with confidence and without pain.
ACT ON NECK PAIN
Neck pain doesn’t actually have to be a fact of life! Although it is an extremely vulnerable and easily affected part of the body, there is a chance to limit your ongoing neck pain in 2018. Even if you sit at a desk for 40+ hours per week, make 2018 the year you get on top of that neck pain that may be causing you other grief such as headaches.
ACT ON SHOULDER PAIN
Your shoulders need to be strong, not weak. They are one of the most mobile and active joints in the body because of how much we rely on them. Has years of manual labour or years of sport left you with a horrible, painful and useless shoulder? Live without shoulder pain in 2018 and address what you’ve been putting up with for far too long.
ACT ON KNEE PAIN
Do you now refer to your knees as ‘good and bad’ instead of ‘left and right’? Unfortunately, it’s something we hear almost daily. Whether you’re recovering from a serious knee surgery or just have sore, aching and painful knees; help is at hand. Don’t let your knees stop you from living an active life as you age. Fix them in 2018 for good.
It’s likely that you’ve heard it before, however, living an active lifestyle and incorporating structured exercise into your routine daily can ward off many chronic diseases and set you up for a healthier life as you age.
Of course, living an active lifestyle is hard when you have an injury. In 2018, let’s get to the root cause of your pain, treat and manage it accordingly and this will ensure you can take further steps to live your best, active life.
